Renting Clothes? - Trying out Reason to Rent

Sustainable fashion is reaching more interest than ever! It doesn’t come as a surprise as we are now, as consumers, increasingly informed about the hefty cost of fast fashion and unsustainable practices on our planet. As a result, companies and brands are coming out with sustainable agendas, and there is a noticeable rise in new sustainable brands and sustainable approaches.

I am a huge fashion lover, and I’m all about trying out the latest fashion trends. I find it exciting and I love experimenting! But trends come and go fast, and the items that have once been exciting can quickly become boring, outdated and forgotten.

This is why I was so thrilled to start my partnership with Reason to Rent last year. Reason to Rent is a monthly subscription service for rental fashion. Quite exciting, right?

So how does it work? Once you sign up for Reason to Rent you will be able to browse brands and items on offer. Currently, there is one subscription plan available at £59. You will be able to select 3 items of your choice; try them, wear them, love them for 28 days, and finally return them to a local drop-off point. There is no extra cost for delivery and returns. Even better, the cleaning and insurance are included in the price as well - for that extra peace of mind.

MY DECEMBER RENTALS

I had a chance to try out Reason to Rent for the first time in December. I opted for two warm knitted tops, both by wonderful Danish-inspired, East London based brand Øst. I just love everything about this brand, their numbers were so comfy to wear and really on point with the designs. I’m definitely looking forward to trying out more of their designs.

Another rental item I got was a quirky shirt-dress by Dedicated. In all honesty, I looked forward to rocking this whimsical design in Aruba, as an easy beach dress - but as restriction changed and our trip was cancelled, it was mostly used to lounge at home. :)
